Jared Leto once admitted he sent used condoms and adult toys to his Suicide Squad costars

A BBC documentary released Wednesday details allegations from 10 women against Jared Leto, 54
, including
his admission that he sent used condoms and anal beads to Suicide Squad co-stars
.

The BBC documentary titled “Jared Leto: Hollywood’s Dark Secret” features 10 women coming forward with allegations against the Oscar-winning actor and frontman of rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars
.
Four of the women have accused Leto of criminal sexual conduct, all occurring when they were teenagers
, with
allegations stemming from incidents between 2002 and 2016

In the BBC report, one of the women claims she was sexually assaulted by Leto in a motel bathroom when she was 17
.
A second woman says Leto threatened her with sexual assault when she was 19, after being “unexpectedly” left alone with him in a hotel
.

A third woman in the doc describes how she allegedly had sex with Leto in California when she was 17, under the age of consent, which would be classified as statutory rape, claiming the actor “shrugged off” a conversation about the age of consent being 18 in the state
.
A fourth woman alleges Leto made repeated sexually explicit phone calls to her when she was 16 and, on at least one occasion, he suggested that they should have sex
.

Leto denied all allegations through his representatives.

In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, Leto said: “I have never sexually assaulted anyone in my entire life. These claims are absolutely and categorically false”
.
The Suicide Squad actor did not respond to the BBC’s requests for comment
.

Two men who worked with Leto’s band told the documentary that staff were “uncomfortable” about the way Leto would interact with teenage girls, saying he would sometimes invite them backstage to his dressing room or invite them to the house where he was recording
.
“I think everyone thought the age gap was way too big,” one of the men, unnamed in the BBC report, says

The documentary comes on the heels of earlier accusations against Leto.
Allegations about Leto first emerged last year when Los Angeles DJ Allie Teilz posted on Instagram saying she had been assaulted by the actor when she was 17, sharing a screenshot of a 2012 Facebook status that said: “Youre [sic] not really in LA until Jared Leto tries to force himself on you backstage at an M83 show.. In a Kilt.. And a snow hat.” The post prompted a flurry of replies from other women, who alleged that they had similar experiences
.

In June 2025, nine women accused Leto of sexual impropriety in a news story published by U.S. outlet Air Mail
.
Air Mail reported that Teilz wrote in an Instagram story: “I was assaulted and traumatized by this creep when I was 17 … He knew my age and didn’t care. What he did was predatory, terrifying and unacceptable”
.

The used condoms and anal beads admission originated from 2016.
Before filming even began on Suicide Squad, he sent Joker-inspired gifts to his co-stars, including a live rat to Margot Robbie, a set of bullets to Will Smith and a dead pig to the entire cast

Asked about the unusual gifts while promoting the movie at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, the Oscar winner told E! News: “I did a lot of things to create a dynamic to create an element of surprise, a spontaneity and to really break down any kind of walls that may be there. The Joker is somebody who doesn’t really respect things like personal space or boundaries”

Will Smith said, “He went full Joker,” adding, “He really set the tone. He wasn’t playing with it. He was dead serious as an actor”
.
Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, who plays Killer Croc in the movie, said that he received “sticky Playboy magazines” from Leto prior to filming

.

Skrillex also received one of Leto’s unusual gifts.
Ahead of filming the music video for “Purple Lamborghini,” Skrillex says that Leto sent him “the biggest dildo” he had ever seen, plus “a bunch of weird shit in a box”
.
When asked about how he responded to the gift, Skrillex simply said, “Thank you”
.

In 2021, Leto walked back his earlier comments about the gifts.
During an interview with Entertainment Weekly about his movie House of Gucci, the actor set the record straight about his infamous gift giving, claiming that his prior eyebrow-raising comments were made “in jest,” saying: “99.9 percent of what people read is bulls**t,” clarifying that “there were no used condoms” or other scandalous items given to his co-stars
.

He added: “Any of the very few gifts that were ever given were given with a spirit of fun and adventure and received with laughter, fun, and adventure”
.

He said: “The only gifts I ever gave Margot [Robbie] were cupcakes. I think I gave her a mouse, and some of the other guys got gifts that you’d get as a joke at a party”
.

“If I do something risky and you don’t like it, basically, you can kiss my ass,” Leto added
.

No criminal charges have ever been filed against him
