‘Jaw-Dropping’ Documentary Dubbed ‘Most Chaotic Viewing Experience Since Tiger King’ Now Streaming on Netflix

Netflix subscribers are captivated by a documentary described as ‘jaw-dropping’ and likened to the ‘most chaotic watch since Tiger King’.

The year 2020 introduced audiences to the sensational Tiger King, with the riveting tale of Joe Exotic, also known as Joseph Allen Maldonado-Passage. His narrative included an arrest and conviction on two charges of attempting to hire someone to murder Big Cat Rescue CEO Carole Baskin, alongside various wildlife offenses.

For those seeking a similarly tumultuous experience, Netflix’s Trainwreck series comes highly recommended.

This documentary series has delved into events like Travis Scott’s ‘Astroworld’ catastrophe and the ‘Poop Cruise’. It now turns the spotlight on the notorious Canadian political figure, Rob Ford.

Ford, who began his career as a businessman, was elected as Toronto’s mayor in 2010, but his term was fraught with controversies.

Trainwreck: Mayor of Mayhem documents the rise and fall of this former Toronto Mayor. A TikToker known as Katie Movie Reviews described the episode as ‘jaw-dropping’, calling it the ‘most chaotic political watch since Tiger King’.

Rebecca Nicholson from The Guardian echoed this sentiment, writing in her review: “This is jaw-dropping, and provocative, and a reminder of how certain parts of the western world got to where we are.”

Conversely, John Serba from the Decider critiqued: “This doc slaps together some fantastical facts, calls it a day, and is woefully inexhaustive.”

Ford’s political career unraveled in 2013 when a video allegedly showing him smoking crack cocaine emerged, marking the beginning of his political demise.

A subsequent video appeared in April 2014, again suggesting Ford was using crack cocaine, which prompted him to acknowledge his addiction and seek rehabilitation.

In a 2014 statement, Ford admitted, “I have tried to deal with these issues by myself over the past year. I know that I need professional help, and I am now 100% committed to getting myself right.”

He continued, “I have a problem with alcohol, and the choices I have made while under the influence.”

After a brief hiatus, Ford returned to politics in June 2014, only to leave the mayoral role in November of that year as his term concluded.

Ford intended to run once more in 2016, but upon being diagnosed with a severe cancer type called liposarcoma, he chose to step back.

Rob Ford passed away in March 2016 at the age of 46. His family expressed their grief, stating: “With heavy hearts and profound sadness, the Ford family announces the passing of their beloved son, brother, husband, and father.”
