Jeff Bezos’ fiancée, Lauren Sánchez, had a memorable encounter with Leonardo DiCaprio that has kept social media abuzz.
It’s understandable why someone might be starstruck in such a situation, considering DiCaprio’s celebrity status.
Despite this, online users have not let Sánchez forget her somewhat awkward moment with the Hollywood icon.
The interaction occurred during the 10th Annual Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA)’s Art and Film Gala Presented By Gucci in 2021 and was captured on camera. The footage continues to circulate on social media, even years later.

On November 7, 2021, the Amazon founder and his then-girlfriend, now fiancée, encountered the Killers of the Flower Moon star.
In the video, Sánchez is seen standing very close to DiCaprio, as if she’s giving him a half-hug.
She can’t stop smiling, and her eyes are wide with admiration as she looks up at the actor.
Bezos stands on the other side of Sánchez, but it’s as if he’s not part of the scene, while Sánchez and DiCaprio engage in conversation.
The actor eventually gestures to leave the conversation, pointing upward, and Sánchez appears to take a step in his direction.
Comments quickly flooded the internet post, and they continue to roll in, even into 2024.
One user on X remarked, “I thought he wanted nothing to do with girls over 26.”
Another commented, “Who else noticed how she was staring at Leonardo the whole time?”
A third person humorously added, “Find you someone who looks at you the way Jeff Bezos’ girlfriend looks at Leonardo DiCaprio.”
Despite being one of the wealthiest individuals globally, Bezos couldn’t compete for Sánchez’s attention during their conversation with DiCaprio.
However, it seems he had little to worry about as Bezos and Sánchez later got engaged.
Bezos proposed during a vacation on his $500m super yacht Koru in May 2023.
There have been no announcements regarding their wedding date, which remains a mystery unless they followed the trend of secret celebrity weddings. With Sánchez being over 25, there seems to be no rush.
