Jennifer Aniston criticizes Elon Musk following romantic interest comparison

Jennifer Aniston recently expressed her views on Elon Musk during an interview.

Aniston is gearing up for the launch of the fourth season of her popular drama “The Morning Show,” which will debut on Apple TV+ on September 17.

In this series, Aniston plays Alex Levy, a role that earned her a Screen Actors Guild Award in 2020.

Alongside Aniston, the show features a star-studded cast, including Reese Witherspoon, Steve Carell, Billy Crudup, and Julianna Margulies, indicating Apple’s significant investment in the series’ production.

As anticipation builds for the return of “The Morning Show,” Aniston is featured on the cover of Vanity Fair’s September issue.

In her interview with the magazine, the conversation unexpectedly veered towards Elon Musk.

Although Aniston and Musk are not commonly associated, Musk’s name surfaced due to comparisons made with Aniston’s on-screen love interest, Paul Marks, played by Jon Hamm.

Marks is depicted as a billionaire with an interest in rockets, drawing parallels to Musk. However, Aniston dismissed the comparison, stating, “I don’t find him desirable in any way or shape.”

It’s uncertain if Musk will be referenced in the upcoming season, but Donald Trump is expected to be mentioned as the storyline aligns with his 2024 presidential campaign.

Given that “The Morning Show” addresses real-life events and political topics—such as the previous season’s exploration of the Roe vs. Wade overturn in June 2022—Aniston told Vanity Fair: “Making a TV show about political coverage in a deeply divisive time can be tricky. You want to appeal to all audiences.”

In the interview, Aniston also opened up about her divorce from Brad Pitt, a topic she rarely discusses.

Reflecting on her film “The Break-Up,” which closely followed her separation from Pitt, she admitted concerns about appearing ‘insensitive’ for taking the role alongside Vince Vaughn.

“It was kind of cathartic to go right from that,” Aniston explained. “When they came to me with the offer they were a little nervous about making it because they thought ‘ohh, is this insensitive’ or ‘is it inappropriate.’ But I actually thought what a great opportunity.”

She further remarked, “I knew it would kind of benefit me emotionally just as a human being and serve the script and the character pretty well.”
