Jennifer Aniston Opens Up About Brad Pitt Divorce in Candid Revelation

Jennifer Aniston opened up about her emotions following her split from Brad Pitt while discussing her most memorable roles.

While Brad Pitt is currently known for his disputes with ex-wife Angelina Jolie, he was once married to Friends actress Jennifer Aniston. Their separation caused quite a stir at the time.

Aniston and Pitt were together for five years, from 2000 to 2005. Tensions reportedly rose when Pitt filmed Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

During the making of this movie, he met Angelina Jolie, which coincided with the end of his marriage to Aniston. Pitt has claimed that his relationship with Jolie only began after his separation from Aniston.

In a recent Vanity Fair interview, Aniston talked about the period following her breakup and how a particular film she was in helped her cope with the experience.

In 2006, Aniston appeared in The Break-Up, a film about a woman who ends her relationship with her boyfriend due to feeling undervalued but continues to live in the same apartment with him.

Reflecting on a particular scene in the film, Aniston recalled a speech directed at her on-screen boyfriend, played by Vince Vaughn.

In that scene, she stated: “I don’t care, I am done. I am done. I do not deserve this I really do not deserve this.

“I deserve someone who gives a s***. I am not spending one more second in this life with some inconsiderate pr***.”

With a touch of humor, Aniston remarked that she ‘might have just gone through a separation’ that no one remembers while filming the movie.

She added: “It was kind of cathartic to go right from that.

“When they came to me with the offer they were a little nervous about making it because they thought ‘ohh, is this insensitive’ or ‘is it inappropriate.’

“But I actually thought what a great opportunity.

“And I knew it would kind of benefit me emotionally just as a human being and serve the script and the character pretty well.”

Aniston has discussed before the complexities of her breakup, particularly since Pitt seemed to move on quickly with Jolie.

Recalling her reaction to seeing photos of Jolie and Pitt together for the first time, she said: “The world was shocked, and I was shocked.”

“I can’t say it was one of the highlights of my year. Who would deal with that and say, ‘Isn’t that sweet! That looks like fun!?’ But s*** happens. You joke and say, ‘What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger’.”
