The Morning Show actress Jennifer Aniston has reached another birthday milestone, yet she seems to defy the passage of time.
Much like her Friends co-star Paul Rudd, Aniston appears to resist the typical signs of ageing, which may just be a sitcom phenomenon.
Today, February 11, marks the 56th birthday of the star, and social media is abuzz with fans sending their best wishes, often sharing memorable images and videos from her illustrious acting career.
After gaining Hollywood fame as Rachel on Friends, Aniston has starred in various films, including Marley & Me, Horrible Bosses, and Murder Mystery, not to mention her recent portrayal of Alex Levy on Apple TV’s The Morning Show.
Photos from different periods of her career are being shared in celebration, yet her looks seem remarkably consistent over the years.
Many strive for such timelessness, and Aniston has openly shared her secrets for maintaining both mental and physical wellness.
She acknowledges the benefits of exercise, noting that she feels ‘really beautiful’ post-workout, knowing she’s ‘taken care of [her] body, [her] endorphins are going, [her] blood is pumping’.
“I’m taking care of the one body I have,” Aniston remarked.
In a conversation with Vogue, she emphasized the importance of being selective with the information she consumes, which aids her in focusing on what truly matters.
As part of her routine, she avoids her phone for at least an hour upon waking, saying: “I don’t look at my phone for at least the first hour after waking up.
“The mental difference this makes impacts the whole day. I have my chargers in a drawer six feet away from my bed and I have a little iPod or iPhone from 1912 that I swiped clean and strictly use for my alarms and my sleep apps.”
In addition to managing her phone usage, Aniston regularly steps back from social media, describing it as ‘toxic’.
She elaborated: “I understand the innocence of how it was birthed and the intention was to bring people together and create a social community. And that’s lovely, but you have to take the good with the bad—that people just sit there and throw emotional knives at other people on these platforms.”
When it comes to beauty products, Aniston only partners with brands she genuinely endorses. She has previously collaborated with Vital Proteins, a health brand she discovered after her doctor advised incorporating collagen supplements into her regimen.
“My joints, my nails, my hair, my skin everything just started to improve,” she mentioned, highlighting the natural decline in collagen production as we get older.
As she celebrates her 56th year, Aniston has expressed that growing older is a ‘privilege’.
