After eloping in July, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck remarried on Saturday night at the actor’s 87-acre estate in Georgia. This time, the ceremony was witnessed by A-list friends and family.
In order to coordinate with the lavish light-hued decorations and floral arrangements, guests donned white, including Affleck’s longtime friend Matt Damon and his wife, Luciana Barroso.
Kevin Smith, the director of “Clerks,” and Jason Mewes, the actor, together with their wives, also attended the ceremony.
“We did it,” the singer said in her “On The JLo” newsletter to followers as she announced their hasty nuptials. “Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient,” referring to their initial engagement in the beginning of the millennium.
The native of the Bronx described how their Vegas wedding came about, claiming that they lined up behind four other couples who were also getting married.
“We barely made it to the little white wedding chapel by midnight,” she wrote. “They graciously stayed open late a few minutes, let us take pictures in a pink Cadillac convertible, evidently once used by the king himself (but if we wanted Elvis himself to show, that cost extra and he was in bed).”
The couple was later seen having a lot of PDA while on their honeymoon in Paris.
A source earlier informed us that Lopez and Affleck’s wedding celebrations will last for several days. Additionally, Colin Cowie was in charge of organising their wedding.
In April, J.Lo and Affleck announced their second engagement. The “Argo” star gave Lopez an 8.5-carat green diamond ring that is thought to be valued up to $10 million.
They started dating again in April 2021, not long after she ended her engagement to Alex Rodriguez amid suspicions that he had cheated on her.
She and Affleck first began dating in 2002, earning the nickname “Bennifer,” and they got engaged very shortly. However, they broke up two years later as a result of the media frenzy surrounding their romance.
In June of that same year, Lopez wed singer Marc Anthony. Max and Emme, twins aged 14 who live with her and Anthony.
Affleck and Jennifer Garner welcomed their three children—sons Samuel and Seraphina, as well as daughters Violet and Seraphina—in 2005.
They both had high-profile romances before getting back together as a couple after divorce from their respective marriages. While Affleck was seeing “Knives Out” actress Ana De Armas until their January 2021 breakup, Lopez was engaged to A-Rod.
