Recently, Jennifer Lopez seemed disinclined to discuss her previous relationship with Sean “Diddy” Combs, opting not to sign autographs after being confronted with a question from a fan about the matter.
Sean Combs, also known as Diddy in the music world, is currently detained at the Metropolitan Detention Centre.
Last month, he was apprehended and faces multiple severe charges, including racketeering and sex trafficking through force, fraud, or coercion.
The rapper and music producer has consistently denied these accusations.
As everyone awaits the trial scheduled for 2025, there has been increased examination of Diddy’s past life before his arrest.
A particular focus has been on his association with singer Cassie, following the release of a video allegedly showing the rapper pursuing and hitting her in a corridor.
Nonetheless, some attention has been directed at Diddy’s past two-year relationship with singer Jennifer Lopez.
Combs and Lopez were said to have dated for two years, eventually parting ways in 2001.
Recently, a query regarding their past relationship led to Lopez walking away from her fans.
During the weekend, Lopez was present at the AFI Fest 2024 Unstoppable screening and attended a Q&A session in Los Angeles prior to signing autographs for fans as she exited.
A circulating video captures a fan asking Lopez, ‘do you have any comments about Diddy and the allegations?’
Following the question, Lopez appeared to cease signing autographs and proceeded to exit through a door with her security team, despite some fans urging her to stay, as reported by The Mirror.
However, the star chose not to return and left without addressing inquiries about her former relationship with Diddy.
Details about the pair’s short-lived relationship are sparse, though Lopez’s ex-husband has alleged that the rapper played a role in their eventual divorce.
In an interview on the Spanish talk show Despierta América, Noa expressed his belief that the ‘distance’ and ‘deception’ in his relationship with Lopez, along with the eventual ‘separation,’ began when Lopez started spending more time with Combs while working on her debut album ‘On the 6’.
Noa accused Lopez of contacting ‘several companies’ to ‘throw [him] out’ and persuading ‘different television networks not to give [him] work’.
He also criticized the singer for taking him to court, ‘accusi[ng]’ him and having ‘lied’.
