Jennifer Lopez releases bold statement about her love life following Ben Affleck’s ’embarrassing’ divorce revelation

The split between Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez has captured the attention of the celebrity world, with fans closely following Lopez’s recent social media activity concerning relationships.

Reports surfaced in August of last year that Lopez and Affleck were parting ways after two years of marriage.

Lopez cited their separation date as April 26, 2024, though both have largely kept the specifics of their relationship private.

This week, the ‘Let’s Get Loud’ singer delighted her followers with a social media post that subtly referenced one of her well-loved songs.

On Instagram, she shared: “Due to inflation my love will now be costing a thing.”

This message stands in contrast to her track ‘Love Don’t Cost a Thing’, where she sings: “Even if you were broke, my love don’t cost a thing.”

Fans resonated with her post, echoing her sentiments in the comments.

One follower commented: “Yasssss!!! Gotta know our worth baby.”

Another remarked: “Period! I’ve been saying this! Lol.”

A third fan declared: “Talk di tingzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!! She not playin’ games wit’ yall!!!”

Although light-hearted, there is no clear indication that Lopez’s post was directed at Affleck or their marriage.

Affleck has previously expressed gratitude for having Lopez in his life and praised the positive relationship he shares with all the children involved, including hers.

At the premiere of his film The Accountant 2, he mentioned: “Listen, I don’t read the stuff online much, and sometimes I get the sense that people perpetuate this idea of … they wanna find something negative to talk about. For the record, Jennifer Lopez is spectacular, great to my kids, great ongoing relationship with them.”

“I love her kids. They are wonderful,” added Affleck. “She is enormously important, tremendous person of a lot of integrity who I adore and am grateful to.

“I’m thrilled that the kids are here with me.”

He expressed: “That’s the kind of thing where the relationship that you have with children like that is a joy in my life. Those kids are amazing and I’m glad that this is a movie they want to come to.”

These heartfelt words come after Affleck admitted feeling ‘embarrassed’ about discussing their issues, stating it ‘feels vulnerable’ to open up.
