Jersey Shore’s Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi Reveals ‘Scary’ Cancer Update in Emotional Video

Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi has recently shared her experience with a cervical cancer scare.

The 38-year-old gained fame from her role on MTV’s Jersey Shore, which aired from 2009 to 2012. Polizzi quickly became one of the show’s standout personalities, known for her distinctive hairstyle and fondness for pickles, which became memorable pop culture moments.

Since her rise to fame, Polizzi has married Jionni LaValle, with whom she shares three children, and has continued to be active on social media.

Polizzi recently used TikTok to discuss her health concerns after receiving abnormal pap smear results over the past four years, prompting an ‘uncomfortable’ colposcopy and biopsy.

She shared: “Results come back. Doctor calls me and he’s like, ‘Not looking great.’ He found cancerous cells on the top of my cervix.”

The star of Snooki & Jwoww explained that she will need to have a cone biopsy under anaesthesia for further evaluation. Despite feeling ‘terrified’, she stressed the importance of proceeding with the procedure.

Nicole elaborated: “It’s scary, but we have to get it done because cervical cancer is nothing to joke about.”

She further mentioned that if her next biopsy shows abnormal results, she might have to undergo a hysterectomy, a surgical procedure to remove the uterus.

Although Nicole expressed that she’s ‘done having kids’, the prospect of a hysterectomy is ‘just sad and scary’, as she remarked:

“Getting the hysterectomy and then not being able to have kids, I think that’s what’s killing me. But whatever to keep me healthy and safe to be here for my kids that I have now.”

She urged others not to skip appointments, including smear tests, admitting that she had initially delayed scheduling them due to fear.

Nicole stated: “The reason why my doctor’s on my a** all the time is because I waited. I waited on my damn appointments because I knew I might not get great results, but also because I didn’t want to feel the pain. I didn’t want to deal with the stress of having to deal with all of this.”

Despite the frightening situation, Nicole hopes that her openness will inspire others facing similar challenges.

“Just making this video to spread awareness to make sure you get your pap smears. And if your doctor calls you to do it again, do it. Make sure you’re fine and prevent all the bad things that could happen, like cervical cancer,” she emphasized.

She wrapped up the video by expressing that being a woman ‘is not easy’ and acknowledging her current situation as a ‘scary thing’, adding: “I know I’m going to be fine.

“It’s just scary.”
