Jack Schlossberg, grandson of former US president John F. Kennedy, has taken aim at Ryan Murphy’s new Hulu series depicting the life of his late uncle, John F. Kennedy Jr.
Appearing on CBS Sunday Morning this week, Schlossberg spoke about several parts of his life, including his relationship with his late sister, Tatiana Schlossberg, who died in December 2025, and his intention to run for Congress.
He also addressed Murphy’s Hulu drama Love Story, which centres on Kennedy Jr.’s relationship with Carolyn Bessette.
Calling the series ‘grotesque’, Schlossberg said:
“If you want to know someone who’s never met anyone in my family, knows nothing about us, talk to Ryan Murphy. The guy knows nothing about what he’s talking about, and he’s making a ton of money on a grotesque display of someone else’s life.”
Love Story debuted on Hulu last month, with its creators saying it ‘explores the undeniable chemistry, whirlwind courtship and high-profile marriage’ of Kennedy Jr. and Bessette.

The official synopsis states:
“It was a love story that captured the attention of the nation: John F. Kennedy Jr. was the closest thing to American royalty. The country watched him grow from a boy to a beloved bachelor and media sensation.
“Bessette was a star in her own right. Fiercely independent and with a singular style, she rose from being a sales assistant to an executive at Calvin Klein, and became a trusted confidante of its eponymous founder. John and Carolyn’s connection was immediate, electric and undeniable.
“As their love story unfolded on a national stage, the intense fame and media attention that came along with it threatened to rip them apart.”
The series is inspired by the book Once Upon a Time: The Captivating Life of Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy and stars Paul Anthony Kelly as Kennedy Jr.
Schlossberg has criticised Murphy for what he describes as profiting from the project, previously accusing him of ‘making millions’ from Love Story.

He wrote on Instagram at the time:
“You’re making millions off John, making a public spectacle of it but won’t contribute any of your riches to the causes he championed, or the legacy of public service he represented,”
Schlossberg has also said on Instagram Stories that neither the Kennedy family nor Bessette’s family were consulted during the production process.
“For those wondering whether his family was ever consulted, or has anything to do with, the new shows being made about him, the answer is no,” he said, as per E! News.
“For the record, I think admiration for my Uncle John is great. What I don’t think is great is profiting off of it in a grotesque way.”
Murphy’s representatives have been contacted for comment.
