On Thursday, a new trailer for the fourth John Wick film, dubbed John Wick: Chapter 4, was released. We’re only a few months away from the film’s debut, and the trailer promises an amazing barnburner packed with action.
A gunfight is taking place in a sliding automobile with an open door. A gunfight breaks out on a horse in the desert. In a club, there is a hatchet fight. Donnie Yen and Keanu Reeves battle with swords and firearms. There are canines! Sure, the Eiffel Tower! There’s even talk of a classic Western-style battle between Reeves and Bill Skarsgrd.
In this film, we also get our first peek at Clancy Brown and old Wick mates Ian McShane and Laurence Fishburne.
The first trailer was released in June at Comic-Con, giving us our first look at Skarsgrd, Hiroyuki Sanada, and Yen. Scott Adkins, a martial arts star, will also appear in the film, though he has yet to be seen.
Will it be the latest case of the fourth film in a series actually being good? We’ll have to see what happens. Chad Stahelski is back as director, and the addition of Yen, Sanada, and Adkins to the Reeves-helmed franchise can only be positive.
John Wick 4 is set to hit theaters on March 24, 2023.
