JoJo Siwa reveals the events leading up to breakup with partner at Celebrity Big Brother event

JoJo Siwa and Kath Ebbs’ breakup after the singer departed the Celebrity Big Brother house has caught public attention, with both parties sharing their perspectives on the matter.

Ebbs, 27, announced on social media that the ‘Karma’ singer ended their relationship at the TV show’s afterparty. The influencer also accused Siwa of engaging in ‘love bombing.’

Typically, ‘love bombing’ is described as someone overwhelming another with excessive affection.

Last week, Ebbs took to Instagram to talk about the separation, saying: “It seems to me I have experienced a version of [love bombing]. Being told I’m the love of someone’s life, being asked to marry them before this social experiment.”

“Being adored throughout behind closed doors. Being hurt by what I saw but wanting to work through it and have a conversation and get clarity.”

“To be met with, yeah, being further humiliated in a weird way. That’s more of a feeling, I don’t know if it’s fact.”

However, Siwa has now expressed her side of the situation that led to her breakup with Ebbs.

During an appearance on The Viall Files podcast yesterday (April 30), she denied rumors that fellow Celebrity Big Brother contestant Chris Hughes played a role in their split.

Emphasizing her platonic relationship with the Love Island star, Siwa explained: “It’s a very special bond unlike any friendship I’ve ever created but my situations are completely unrelated and that kind of got misconstrued.”

She also suggested that her ex-partner might not be sharing the full story about what happened prior to their breakup.

Siwa stated, “They [Kath] said I broke up with them at the wrap party. That’s not entirely the story. The story goes, they had mentioned to production they did not want to come to the wrap party. I said all good, I’m gonna go.”

The musician intended to take some alone time to ‘formulate her thoughts’ before talking to Ebbs and planned to return to her hotel after the wrap party, which Siwa acknowledged upset Ebbs ‘rightfully so.’

However, during the party, she received word from the welfare team that the Australian influencer had changed their mind about attending.

Siwa continued: “When they got to the party they had huts for us so we started to have a conversation, a chat before we go over there.”

“And that conversation started immediately, I was gonna lead the talking then they led the talking and all I’m saying to every question they ask is ‘I don’t know’.”

“‘Are you this?’ ‘I don’t know’. ‘Are you that?’ ‘I don’t know’. ‘Are you happy in our relationship?'”

“All of a sudden we’re having it [the conversation] and we’re at the wrap party for Big Brother, I’m getting cussed out.”

“I understand why they’re coming at me and why they’re angry but I also keep reiterating that I’m not in a place to talk.”

Siwa explained: “By the sixteenth time somebody asks you, ‘are you happy? Do you wanna end things?’, you’re just gonna spew your guts and I honestly said if you ask me tomorrow I don’t know my answer, if you ask me now my answer is yes.”

“Then that obviously was taken as yes, and it was a yes.”

She added that they talked about boundaries, with Siwa asserting that those boundaries were ‘actually did proceed to break,’ leading to their breakup.
