Josh Duhamel, 52, recently opened up about his intimate life with his wife Audra Mari, 31.
The “Transformers” star, who tied the knot with Mari in 2022, was previously married to Fergie for a decade, from 2009 until their separation in 2019. Reflecting on his past marriage, Duhamel shared that he and Fergie naturally grew apart over time due to differing interests.
“We had a great time. I think we kind of outgrew each other and had very different interests,” he explained.
Duhamel mentioned that the pressures of being in the limelight, due to his own Hollywood career and his high-profile relationship, added to the challenges they faced.
“I don’t think I ever really got comfortable with all of it,” he remarked. “I just missed the simplicity of who I really am.”
“I’m just not a guy who is comfortable going to red carpets, doing all the Hollywood stuff.”
Together with his ex-wife, they co-parent their son Axl, who is 11. Duhamel also has a son named Shephard, who is one, with his current wife Mari.
In a recent interview with Men’s Health Lab, Duhamel shared that he has begun testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). His wife played a role in his decision to start this treatment.
“It’s important for her that I stay as young and virile for as long as I can,” he noted.
Men may consider hormone replacement therapy, such as testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), if they have low testosterone and experience issues like fatigue or low libido.
Duhamel decided to pursue testosterone treatment after a doctor informed him of his low hormone levels.
“I’d been hearing about this for a while – about testosterone replacement therapy – and it was one of those things that I didn’t want to talk about, neither did anybody I was asking about it,” he recalled.
Duhamel reflected on the positive impact hormone replacement therapy has had on his life. “I think that there is an overall wellness, you know, just for just for those purposes alone.”
He continued, “Just having that energy, that that desire to go out and achieve, be a better dad, be a better brother, be a better friend, be a better business owner, you don’t taper off like you would normally – and I think that that’s also one of the benefits of it, mentally and physically.”
The therapy has also enhanced his physical strength. “It’s just one of those things that just changed my world. I literally got my mojo back. And now it’s become, not so much about the aesthetics of it, as much as it is being around for my kids and being able to roll around the dirt with them like I could have when I was younger.”
