Julia Ann, adult film star, explains her decision to stop shooting scenes with men

Julia Ann, a prominent figure in the adult film industry, recently shared her reasons for feeling ‘scared’ of filming scenes with men.

At 52 years old, Julia Ann has enjoyed a career spanning over three decades, collaborating with numerous other stars in the industry.

In recent times, however, she has chosen to stop filming scenes with men. She discussed her motivations for this decision during an interview on Holly Randall’s Unfiltered podcast. Holly Randall is a well-known adult film photographer, producer, and director.

Ann cited her marriage as a pivotal moment in her decision-making process, though she clarified that her marriage was not the primary cause.

Ann stated: “Everybody was like, ‘Oh it’s because she got married.’ No, no, no.”

She explained that her marriage served as a convenient point to make a change.

“I was like, you know, it’s as good a time as any, because from our marriage forward it’ll be almost symbolistic it’ll just be us, right?” She continued. “But it really wasn’t the reason because he never put that as a thing.”

So, if it wasn’t her marriage that led her to stop filming with men, what was the real reason?

Julia Ann explained that age and body image issues were significant factors. “The reason why I stopped doing boy-girl was because, as a woman who was getting older and who hates the gym, I was finding that I couldn’t control where my fat was going in a scene with guys,” she said.

“This is my vain reality and no bulls**t. When you have sex with a girl – when I have sex with a girl – I can position myself, I can work it a certain way, I can be a little bit more, ‘Oo, how you doing today?'”

“But when a guy’s behind you, it’s just doink doink doink and stuff is just happening and I can feel it happening. And I’m like this is not happening again, right?”

She confessed that she reached a point where her insecurity became overwhelming, and she felt ‘scared’ of what was happening.

Ann added: “Even if you’re a thicker girl when you’re younger or you work out let’s just say, you still your body firmly moves differently. After menopause your body moves separate from itself. There’s no one area that moves with the other area, like you go this way, it goes that way, it’s like a ricochet effect.”

“It’s uncool and none of you were gonna be allowed to use it against me for the rest of my life and that’s what happened because I don’t trust all of you to be kind to me as I age.”
