A spokesperson for Justin Bieber has commented on the ongoing sex trafficking trial involving Diddy.
Last September, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs faced indictment by a grand jury and was taken into custody at Manhattan’s Park Hyatt hotel.
The 55-year-old faces charges including racketeering conspiracy, two counts of sex trafficking, and two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, all of which he has denied.
The trial began on Monday (May 12) in Manhattan, with several individuals, including former partner Casandra ‘Cassie’ Ventura, testifying against Combs, accusing him of assault, rape, and blackmail.
Following Combs’ arrest and the search of his LA residence in March last year, old footage of him, including a video with Justin Bieber, re-emerged online.
In a video shot when Bieber was 15, Combs is seen discussing plans to “go wild” with the young singer.
“Where we’re hanging out and what we’re doing, we can’t really disclose, but it’s definitely a 15-year-old’s dream,” Combs remarked.
He added: “For the next 48 hours, he’s with me. And we’re gonna go full. Buck full crazy.”
Another video recorded a couple of years later highlighted Combs’ perception that Bieber had ‘changed’ due to a lack of interest in spending time with him.
In 2011, both appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, where Combs commented: “[Bieber] knows better than to be talking about things that he does with Big Brother Puff on national television.”
These videos quickly gained traction online, amassing millions of views shortly after resurfacing.
Amid speculation about Combs’ relationship with Bieber linked to the sex trafficking trial, Bieber’s representative has issued a statement.
Bieber’s representative told TMZ on Thursday (May 15): “Although Justin is not among Sean Combs’ victims, there are individuals who were genuinely harmed by him.
“Shifting focus away from this reality detracts from the justice these victims rightfully deserve.”
This comment follows information shared by ‘sources’ with the outlet.
Sources close to Bieber, reportedly involved in his personal life, indicated that the public appearances with Combs were merely ‘performative’ and that no genuine friendship existed—Bieber was instead friends with Combs’ sons.
These sources also affirmed that Combs never harmed Bieber in any manner.
