Justin Bieber fans are buzzing online with speculation that the artist might have hinted at parties hosted by Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs in one of his music videos.
Rumors are circulating on social media that the music video for ‘Yummy’ contains hidden messages.
According to one popular theory, a scene in the video features a piece of bread and a cherry arranged in a peculiar pattern on a table.
On TikTok, Bieber fan Alexis Mae (@alexismae.xo) commented: “Look at the placement of the bread, the bread is set up like a shield almost.”
“If you take a closer look at the sandwich there is actually a cherry there, so the bread is set up to protect the cherry.”
Some fans believe this arrangement is a subtle reference to protecting ‘innocence,’ as a cherry often symbolizes virginity.
The TikToker also noted that later in the video, the bread appeared to resemble ‘a face with a tongue sticking out’.
Additionally, the cherry seemed to appear rotten.
The video concludes with a cleared plate featuring a picture of Bieber as a child.
Mae also suggested that the party setting in the music video resembled a ‘white party’ similar to those hosted by Combs.
Many fans agreed with the speculation, with one noting: “We had this conversation years ago, where were y’all?”
Another added: “I remember going down this rabbit hole during the pandemic and nobody was believing it?”
However, some remain skeptical, with one fan commenting: “Y’all are reaching.”
Bieber’s professional relationship with Combs began early in his career, with Diddy acting as a mentor.
This connection has garnered renewed attention following Combs’ recent arrest and the multiple allegations against him.
Combs was arrested at a New York hotel on September 16 and is currently in federal custody.
The rapper faces charges of federal sex trafficking and racketeering, with federal prosecutors accusing him of ‘creating a criminal enterprise’.
Allegations against Combs include claims that he abused, coerced, and threatened women to ‘fulfil his sexual desires, protect his reputation, and conceal his conduct.’
To date, 11 individuals have come forward with allegations against Combs.
Some of these allegations date back to the 1990s.
The most recent accuser, Thalia Graves, alleged that Combs and his bodyguard bound, drugged, and raped her in 2001 while filming the assault.
Combs has denied all criminal wrongdoing and pleaded not guilty to the charges.
