Justin Bieber has sparked further concern among his fans with a series of enigmatic posts about ‘transactional relationships’.
Supporters of the ‘Baby’ singer have expressed growing anxiety over his health, both physical and mental.
In addition to battling Ramsay Hunt syndrome, Bieber has appeared somewhat out of character in recent paparazzi photos, leading his representatives to strongly deny any drug-related rumors as ‘absolutely not true’.
Reports have emerged suggesting financial strain on Bieber after he canceled his 2023 world tour. Compounding the situation, the singer has been sharing peculiar social media posts, including images of him smoking a cigar and reflective notes where he confesses feelings of self-loathing and unworthiness.
Just last month, the 31-year-old artist described himself as an ‘average flawed guy’ to his 294 million Instagram followers and revealed that he’s been seeking divine assistance to overcome his fears and insecurities.
Recently, Bieber has shared additional ambiguous posts, focusing on ‘transactional relationships’ and his perspectives on loyalty and love.
In a recent post, Bieber, a two-time Grammy winner, stated: “Tired of transactional relationships.
“If I have to do something to be loved. That’s not love.”
Accompanying the statement were two black and white selfies.
Just a few days earlier, he had posted: “Telling other humans they deserve something is like raising someone else’s kids.”
He continued, “Who are you to tell someone what someone should or shouldn’t have. The audacity. That’s not your place. God decides what we deserve.”
Bieber also commented on loyalty in another recent post, describing the word as a form of ‘manipulative language’.
“Loyalty is a duty, it’s an obligation,” he expressed. “That’s not free will. Love is not a duty. Love is a delight. Please stop using loyalty to keep people around you out of your own fear. It’s hurting us.
“Mafia members use loyalty to keep people in their gangs. Let’s not perpetuate this manipulative language. Love over loyalty forever.”
In yet another social media update, he captioned a series of four selfies, acknowledging ‘accepting that God forgives me this morning’ and his efforts to forgive ‘myself and others today’.
These posts coincide with Bieber’s further exploration of his feelings regarding expectations placed upon him, as shared in his Instagram stories.
Alongside a photo of himself with his hand on his head, he wrote: “This is how I feel after people keep telling me there’s more work to do after I’ve given everything I have to give.
“I don’t think any of us can handle hearing, ‘You just gotta try a little harder and you will be like me.’ It’s not true.
“I listened to those fools who told me to work harder. And there’s no end to trying to earn your spot in this life because I tried. You have everything you need right now,” he added, as reported by PEOPLE.
In a subsequent story, diverging from his self-critical observations, he wrote without further explanation: “I will never be like you. You have nothing that I want, your face and life look undesirable.”
These revelations follow months of peculiar public appearances and ongoing concerns about a possible relapse, while fans have also speculated about the state of his marriage to Hailey Bieber, particularly after she attended the Met Gala without him.
The couple has been married for nearly seven years and welcomed their first son together in August 2024.
