Kaia Gerber has shared her appreciation for the nude modeling photos of her mother displayed throughout their home.
Supermodel Kaia Gerber has opened up about her childhood, emphasizing that it felt quite normal despite her mother, Cindy Crawford, being a famous supermodel.
In an interview with Harpers Bazaar, the 24-year-old acknowledged that her upbringing was ‘pretty isolated’ but in a positive manner.
Gerber explained that her life was as typical as it could be, given the circumstances. She mentioned, ‘I always went to public school. I did theater. I did every community play. I was in choir. I did singing recitals. I danced.’

That sounds like a pretty standard childhood. However, Gerber transitioned to homeschooling when she began her modeling career at age 15.
She did point out a unique aspect of her home, which was the abundance of nude images of her mother. Despite this, it was never an issue for her.
She remarked: “They were, to me, artistic. It wasn’t vulgar, it wasn’t objectification.”
Gerber even described it as a ‘gift’ to grow up in an environment that didn’t view the female form with shame.
Cindy Crawford has previously shared with Fox Digital the straightforward advice she offers her children.

During an interview at the second annual WWD Style Awards, she advised, “The best advice I can give both my kids, whether they’re modeling or another job, is be on time.”
Crawford also discussed maintaining confidence as a model and coping with potential anxiety.
She shared: “Oh jeez, I think a lot of it’s just faking it, honestly, but I think if you are happy in your life, if you’re doing work that you love, if you have a purpose, and then, at a certain point, like, someone asked me, ‘How do you get the confidence to walk down the red carpet?’
“And sometimes you don’t, but once you walk out the door, you make the decision. So, you just have to go with it.”
“And I think the fact that I’ve lived here so long and I’m really part of this community now, like, I’m running into a lot of old friends and that makes it fun as well.”
