Kamala Harris responded assertively to comments suggesting that Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson might have a better chance of becoming president than she does. The former Vice President has hinted at the possibility of another run for the presidency, though she has yet to make a definitive decision about her future political endeavors.
After her loss in the 2024 presidential race, Harris wrote a book titled 107 Days, which delves into her campaign efforts. The book’s title signifies the brief period she had to campaign against Donald Trump after Joe Biden unexpectedly withdrew from the race following a poor start to his re-election efforts. This left Harris with significantly less time to mount her campaign, allowing Trump to secure victories in all seven swing states, though often by narrow margins.
Despite these challenges, Harris remains optimistic about her future.

In an interview with the BBC, she stated, “I am not done, I’ve not decided yet what I will do in the future beyond what I am doing right now.”
During the interview, she was presented with a poll indicating that former wrestler and actor Dwayne Johnson had better prospects of winning the presidency in 2028. Harris addressed this by saying, “I think there are all kinds of polls that will tell you a variety of things, I’ve never listened to polls.”
“If I listen to polls I would not have run for my first office or my second office, and I certainly wouldn’t be sitting here in this interview.”
Others who ranked higher than her in the poll include congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, California Governor Gavin Newsom, and Ivanka Trump.
Harris has previously expressed significant concerns about the implications of a second Trump presidency for the United States.

In her interview with the BBC, she referenced Trump’s conflict with satirist Jimmy Kimmel. Kimmel’s show had been temporarily taken off the air after he accused Trump and his supporters of politicizing the death of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk.
Harris commented, “He said he would weaponize the Department of Justice – and he has done exactly that.” She continued, “You look at what has happened in terms of how he has weaponized, for example, federal agencies going around after political satirists. His skin is so thin he couldn’t endure criticism from a joke, and attempted to shut down an entire media organization in the process.”
