Kanye West Dropped by Johnny Depp Lawyer Camille Vasquez and Talent Agency CAA

Camille Vasquez, the lawyer who represented Johnny Depp, and the top talent agency CAA, have both abandoned Kanye West.

Meanwhile, MRC executives said on Monday that they are canceling a documentary they prepared about the 45-year-old musician.

They are the latest to cut relations with the Gold Digger artist after he tweeted earlier this month that he intended to go to war with the Jewish people.

Several Jewish businessmen have since condemned West’s racist statements. A Hollywood super agent, Ari Emanuel authored an op-ed urging all major businesses to abandon West.

He wrote that: ‘Those who continue to do business with West are giving his misguided hate an audience.’

Even Kanye West’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian has broken her silence, tweeting her support for Jews on Monday.

However, after earlier stating that their partnership was ‘under review,’ footwear maker Adidas is continuing to do business with West.

Its stock is now down about 17% for the month, selling at only $51.36 at the end of Monday.

West had engaged Vasquez, who rose to national prominence as Depp’s lawyer in his contentious defamation lawsuit with ex-wife Amber Heard, to handle his commercial interests amid continuing disagreements with Adidas.

On Monday, Camille told her business, Brown Rudnick, that she would no longer work with Kanye after he reiterated his anti-Semitic sentiments.

The business sought to deal with Kanye if he publicly apologized for his words, but he refused.

Several corporations and entities have severed connections with Kanye West in recent weeks. JP Morgan Chase, The Gap, CAA, Balenciaga, MRC Productions, and Attorney Camille Vasquez are among them.

Camille dumped Ye after he doubled down this weekend. The firm still wanted to make it work, but only on the condition that he withdraw, which he refused – so he fired them.’

‘After Ye doubled down this weekend, Camille dropped him. The firm still wanted to make it work but on the condition he retract, he wouldn’t – so he fired them.’

The firm claimed it had dropped him as a client sometime in the previous month after his anti-Semitic sentiments.

West has been with the organization since 2016, after leaving for a year with the agency UTA.

Meanwhile, MRC officials said on Monday that they are canceling a finished documentary about the rapper.

‘We cannot endorse any content that amplifies his platform,’ executives Modi Wiczyk, Asif Satchu, and Scott Tenley said in a note to staff.

In a message issued Monday, MRC studio execs Modi Wiczyk, Asif Satchu, and Scott Tenley stated, “We cannot support any content that amplifies his platform.”

They discussed the history of anti-Semitism and the consequences of Kanye’s words.

‘Kanye is a producer and sampler of music. Last week he sampled and remixed a classic tune that has charted for over 3000 years — the lie that Jews are evil and conspire to control the world for their own gain.

‘This song was performed acapella in the time of the Pharaohs, Babylon and Rome, went acoustic with The Spanish Inquisition and Russia’s Pale of Settlement, and Hitler took the song electric,’ they wrote. ‘Kanye has now helped mainstream it in the modern era.’

The cutbacks come just days after Balenciaga said it was dropping the controversial rapper as he continues his rampage asking for the killing of Jews who have wronged him and calling President Biden the ‘r’ word.

Kering, the rapper and fashion designer who has legally changed his name to Ye, has announced that the French fashion business would no longer cooperate on projects with him. Kim Kardashian, his ex-wife, is still modeling for the brand.

“Balenciaga has no longer any relationship nor any plans for future projects related to this artist.”
