Elon Musk has removed Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, from Twitter.
“I tried my best. Despite that, he again violated our rule against incitement to violence. Account will be suspended,” Musk tweeted on Thursday night. As of press time, none of Ye’s tweets were available on his account page.
The ban follows a string of heated online interactions between Ye and Musk. In recent interviews, Ye has made anti-Semitic remarks, and he has published a lengthy run of contentious tweets, including a picture of a swastika overlaid over the Star of David.
“Sorry, but you have gone too far. This is not love,” Musk texted Ye in response to the image, according to a screenshot of their conversation Ye shared on Twitter before his suspension.
“Who made you the judge,” Ye wrote back in the text exchange, the screenshot shows.
Ye also posted screenshots of his text discussion with Musk on Donald Trump’s social media site, Truth Social. A screenshot from Ye’s Twitter account, which stated he’d been placed on a 12-hour Twitter timeout, was included in that text discussion.
Ye seems to be aware of his impending punishment. Earlier that day, he tweeted an unflattering photo of Musk on a boat with the remark, “Let’s always remember this as my final tweet #ye24.”
Ye and Musk have been feuding on Twitter since Musk welcomed Ye back to the platform on November 20. On October 10, the rapper’s account was suspended for two weeks after he made anti-Semitic slurs.
Ye also went on an anti-Semitic rant on far-right agitator Alex Jones’ “Infowars” show on Thursday. During the show, he appeared with white supremacist Nick Fuentes and frequently expressed his admiration for Hitler and the Nazis.
Musk and Twitter spokespeople did not immediately reply to calls for comment.
