Kanye West Was Kicked Out of Skechers’ Offices After He Showed Up Uninvited

Ye, previously Kanye West, was kicked out of Skechers’ corporate offices in Los Angeles on Wednesday after arriving uninvited and unannounced.

In a statement, the shoemaker said two executives escorted Ye and others from the company’s offices following a brief conversation and after he “engaged in unauthorized filming.”

“Skechers is not considering and has no intention of working with West,” the company said, adding that it condemned recent antisemitic comments that prompted a backlash among companies that had business deals with him.

Representatives for Ye, who has talked publicly about his mental health concerns and has a history of posting wildly on social media, did not immediately reply to calls for comment.

Gap and Adidas are among the brands that have dropped Ye recently, with the latter stating on Tuesday that his statements and actions  “have been unacceptable, hateful and dangerous, and they violate the company’s values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness.”

Adidas, the German sportswear company, had stated that it was reconsidering its almost decade-long association with Ye after he donned a “White Lives Matter” shirt during Paris Fashion Week.

It announced the decision to sever connections in response to mounting pressure from the Anti-Defamation League and others and after someone allegedly linked with an antisemitic network of conspiracy theorists draped a banner above a Los Angeles highway proclaiming, “Kanye is right about the Jews.”

The governor’s office in Sacramento and the White House condemned the action, with press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre saying:”We need to call out antisemitism everywhere it rears its ugly head. These actions in L.A. are disgusting and should be condemned.”
