Speculation regarding their relationship started in August when they were seen dining out, just months after Perry announced her break-up with Orlando Bloom.
The duo was later spotted in a more private setting—aboard Perry’s sizable 24-meter yacht, the Caravelle, off the coast of Santa Barbara, California on October 12.
Their yacht, the Caravelle, drew attention when it sailed near a public whale-watching boat.
An observer noticed something that confirmed the identity of the couple, aside from the yacht’s grandeur.
The eyewitness reported to the Daily Mail: “She pulled up her boat next to a small public whale-watching boat, then they started making out.
“I didn’t realise who she was with until I saw the tattoo on the guy’s arm and I immediately realised it was Justin Trudeau.”
On the yacht, Perry and Trudeau were seen sharing affectionate moments, kissing and embracing on the deck.
Not long ago, Perry ended her relationship with Bloom, mentioning at a London concert that she would no longer be with an ‘Englishman’, amidst speculation they had split prior to the official announcement.
Trudeau, who recently resigned as Canada’s Prime Minister after a decade, also parted ways with his wife Sophie Grégoire Trudeau in August 2023.
With the recent sighting on Perry’s yacht, it seems the couple has now gone public as they were photographed openly for the first time, not through a long lens.
On a Saturday, which coincidentally marked Perry’s 41st birthday, they were seen departing Le Crazy Horse cabaret in Paris, hand in hand.
This recent public appearance strongly suggests that they are now officially a couple.
