Kelly and Sharon Osbourne’s Emotional Response to Ozzy Tribute at the Grammys

The Osbourne family was deeply touched by a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne during the Grammy Awards ceremony.

The iconic Black Sabbath lead singer passed away at 76 in July 2025, shortly after the band’s farewell concert in Birmingham, UK.

On July 22, the family confirmed his passing with a heartfelt statement: “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning.

“He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.”

In honor of the legendary Prince Of Darkness at the Grammys on February 1, a group of musicians, including Post Malone, Slash and Duff McKagan from Guns N’ Roses, Chad Smith from The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Ozzy’s producer Andrew Watt, took the stage at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena.

As they concluded their rendition of Black Sabbath’s ‘War Pigs,’ a large black and white image of Ozzy was displayed on the screen.

The camera then captured Sharon, Jack, and Kelly Osbourne in the audience visibly moved to tears.

“What a powerful tribute,” remarked one observer about the performance. “You could feel the love and respect in every note. Seeing the Osbournes so emotional made this hit even harder.”

“Best performance of the night so far. Did not expect that,” another commented.

Another viewer described the tribute as “absolutely crushingly awesome” and praised the musicians for an incredible performance.

This tribute came after Yungblud honored Ozzy during his acceptance speech for the Grammy for Best Rock Performance.

He invited Sharon on stage to accept the award and shared a poignant memory of his final conversation with the rock legend.

“The last time I saw Ozzy Osbourne, you asked me if there was anything you could do for me,” Yungblud said.

“I answered that the music was enough and I can safely say on behalf of all of us that it still stands now and it will do forever.”

He added: “You’ll be with me every time I’m nervous, and on stage at every show. God bless rock music and God bless f**king Ozzy Osbourne.”
