Kelly Osbourne Fires Back at ‘Cruel’ Body-Shamers After Dramatic Weight Loss

Kelly Osbourne has hit back at cruel comments about her appearance and has also opened up about how she is coping after the death of her father, Ozzy Osbourne.

In recent years, Kelly has spoken openly about her weight loss journey, which she has linked in part to major changes in her health and lifestyle after being diagnosed with gestational diabetes during her pregnancy with her son, Sidney.

She has also denied speculation that she turned to GLP-1 medications, and has previously said she underwent gastric sleeve surgery in 2018.

Rumors about her appearance intensified again in 2026 after she stepped out with her mother, Sharon Osbourne, at the Brit Awards, where they accepted a lifetime achievement honor on Ozzy’s behalf. Some online commenters claimed Kelly looked too thin, prompting another wave of body-shaming.

Ozzy Osbourne, the Black Sabbath icon, died in July 2025 at the age of 76, less than three weeks after his farewell performance in Birmingham. Kelly has said the loss has been especially difficult, repeatedly describing her father as her best friend.

Posting a screenshot showing some of the abuse she had received, Kelly wrote: “Literally can’t believe how disgusting some human beings truly are! No one deserves this sort of abuse!”

She has now spoken again about the backlash, saying that anyone making those kinds of remarks must be deeply troubled.

“I will be honest and say that I’ve never experienced cruelty like it,” she told Us Weekly about the online trolling she’s been subjected to. “And I don’t think anyone deserves that kind of cruelty.”

Kelly continued: “You have to be very mentally unwell to say the things that people are saying about me. I feel sorry for them.”

She also reflected on life after losing her father and spoke about the people helping her through the grief.

“I have an amazing support system,” she shared. “I have an amazing medical team. I have an amazing family. I have amazing friends, and my son.”

Kelly shares her son, Sidney, with her former fiancé, Sid Wilson. The Slipknot DJ proposed during Ozzy’s final Black Sabbath show in July 2025, though the pair later ended their engagement in 2026.

She added that people rarely know what someone else might be dealing with, saying: “That’s why I always make the point to smile at someone when I’m walking down the street, because that one smile can change their whole everything.”

Speaking specifically about her father’s passing, Kelly said the loss reinforced how valuable time really is, calling it “the most precious thing we have.”
