Kendall Jenner recently shared insights on her relationship with her father, Caitlyn Jenner, following Caitlyn’s appearance on the Hulu series, The Kardashians, marking her first on-screen presence in the show’s current format.
Caitlyn, who was a regular on the previous show Keeping Up With The Kardashians, made her debut in the new series during an episode aired on October 30. The episode featured a conversation between Kendall and Caitlyn about the Los Angeles wildfires earlier this year that led to significant property damage and evacuations.
Many celebrities have previously discussed how the fires affected their homes, often using their platforms to raise awareness. However, during her appearance on the show, Caitlyn assured viewers that her Malibu home remained untouched.
Caitlyn mentioned that instead of evacuating, she had considered battling the flames with a garden hose.
Reflecting on her bond with Caitlyn, Kendall expressed in a confessional: “I have to compartmentalize my relationship with my Dad in a way because I love her. She’s my dad. We have a good relationship. But sometimes I get frustrated with her with certain things because we just have completely different views on things.”
Caitlyn has sparked debates over the years, notably due to her stance on excluding transgender women from women’s sports teams. Despite coming out as a trans woman in 2015, Caitlyn articulated her views on the sports issue in an interview in 2021, stating: “It just isn’t fair. And we have to protect girls’ sports in our schools.”
Despite their differing perspectives, Kendall emphasized her desire to keep Caitlyn involved in her life.
“I know she doesn’t have a lot outside of her family and I think that she gets lonely,” Kendall said. “You don’t ever want someone to be sad, especially your dad and someone you love and care about.”
Caitlyn’s involvement in the show coincided with her ex-wife Kris Jenner inviting her to a family dinner at their Hidden Hills residence before the family relocated. This home was prominently featured in Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Kris expressed that it ‘wouldn’t be the same’ to bid farewell without Caitlyn’s presence.
Kris remarked to the family: “Your Dad and I bought this house many years ago, and I think one person isn’t here that should be here to say goodbye with us to this house.”
The family received a surprise when Caitlyn arrived to join them.
