Kendall Jenner isn’t a fan of Kanye “Ye” West’s most controversial collection. The 26-year-old supermodel, formerly Ye’s sister-in-law, gently supported friend Jaden Smith on Twitter by like three of his comments regarding his choice to leave Ye’s Paris Fashion Week presentation early.
“I Had To Dip Lol,” Jaden wrote. “I Don’t Care Who’s It Is If I Don’t Feel The Message I’m Out.”
“Black Lives Matter,” Jaden said on Twitter.
Kendall responded to all three of the actor’s tweets.
Kendall has already walked the Yeezy runway.
Kanye stirred eyebrows earlier this week when he launched his new Yeezy line during his Paris Fashion Week event and released a photo of himself with right-wing commentator Candace Owen wearing “White Lives Matter” shirts. Several of his models wore the shirts on the runway as well.
Many celebrities, including Kendall’s supermodel companions Gigi Hadid and Hailey Bieber, have spoken out against Ye’s divisive line following online attack on Vogue editor Gabriella Karefa-Johnson.
Kendall also liked a tweet that slammed Ye for referring to the late designer Virgil Abloh as his “best friend” after he made multiple derogatory remarks about him. Julia Fox, Ye’s ex, also liked the post, and Gigi commented, “Finally…. ! Thank u ! Even people who knew him for a percentage of the time knew kanye did not treat V like a friend. ++ V LOVED GKJ. ….. He’s watching!”
Before the controversy surrounding Ye’s clothing line, some Kim Kardashian’s family members appeared to show their support for the rapper and designer. Ye walked the muddy catwalk at the Balenciaga runway show, which Khloe Kardashian and Kylie Jenner attended. Khloe shared many images and videos from the concert, including one with Kanye and Kim’s eldest daughter, North West, seated in the front row.
Kim filed for divorce from Kanye in February 2021, and they have publicly clashed multiple times since.
