Kid’s mind-blowing Halloween costume leaves everyone puzzled on how he pulled it off

The internet has erupted in support of a young boy who placed third in a Halloween costume contest, with thousands online claiming he ‘should’ve won’.

The boy went above and beyond by dressing as a man cut in half, holding his own torso, leaving both children and adults perplexed.

Observing this costume, it’s like he’s defying physics; his legs aren’t visible, causing widespread confusion.

His parents probably expected him to take first place, but the judges at Admira Moorer Middle School in Eufaula, Alabama, thought otherwise.

He ended up securing third place behind a boy dressed as an old man, with a girl portraying Wednesday Addams taking the top spot.

No disrespect to their costumes, as both were impressive, but surely this boy, seemingly defying reality, deserved the win?

Although images of the boy’s costume have gone viral, the contest actually occurred last year.

What might he have been this year?

Many have taken to Twitter to express their dismay over the boy’s third-place finish.

One user remarked: “Rigged popularity contest, biased ass judges.”

Another said: “He should’ve won.”

A third added: “They did bro dirty.”

Without additional context, it does seem the boy was ‘robbed’, as some have stated, but Advance Local, an Alabama news outlet, detailed the judging criteria.

This was not merely a costume contest; participants needed to perform a skit. Judges awarded points based on factors such as the ‘Harvest Dance’ theme and each student’s engagement with the audience.

Though the boy’s costume was outstanding, he might have been outshone during the performance segment.

Despite this, everyone is still mystified about how he constructed his costume.

A social media user questioned: “Can someone tell me the secret to this costume? I still can’t figure out how…”

Another asked: “Hows he doing this is the real question.”

Luckily, I might be able to shed some light on this.

Start by cutting two holes in the back of your pants where your knees would be.

Then, remove the back of an oversized shirt, allowing it to hang from your neck and arms.

Insert cardboard in the top of your pants and stuff it with paper or any material for volume, allowing you to hold it.

Finally, place your legs in the pants and lean back slightly to give the illusion that your arms and legs are separate.

Good luck and Happy Halloween!
