Kim Kardashian delivers blunt reply after North West, 12, surprises with ‘face tattoos and piercings’

Kim Kardashian gave a straightforward response amid the uproar regarding her daughter North West’s recent look, which included imitation face tattoos and piercings.

North, who is 12, appeared in a series of TikTok videos over the weekend on the account she shares with her mother. She was seen with faux tattoos, blue contact lenses, and a septum-style piercing.

North’s friends also joined in, sporting matching braided hairstyles, colorful extensions, and striking accessories.

In the TikTok videos, North showcased dramatic lashes, silver jewelry, grillz, and scripture-like designs beneath her eyes. She completed the style with an oversized black T-shirt and sneakers.

The post was captioned: “Fake piercings and fake tatts 4 life.”

However, not everyone approved, with many online commentators expressing concern that North — the oldest child of Kim and her ex-husband Kanye West — was ‘too young’ for such a look.

One commenter noted, “She’s 12 years old by the way.”

Another remarked, “How about go be a kid.”

Although this style might seem mature for someone her age, it was worn on the weekend before Halloween—a time when children often dress in dramatic costumes. Is it really that concerning?

Kim doesn’t seem to think so, as she dismissed the criticism with a simple five-word retort.

In response to a TikTok clip shared by Daily Mail Australia, the SKIMS founder commented: “This is such a non-issue.”

That concise reply, accompanied by a crying emoji, quickly gained attention and encapsulated the billionaire’s perspective on her daughter’s creative choices.

This incident occurred just a few weeks after Kim faced criticism for allowing North to wear a dermal piercing during a trip to Rome, an event Kim later described as a learning experience.

During a recent appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Kim discussed the challenges of parenting a preteen in the public eye.

“I’m like, okay, we’re never wearing that again. Unfortunately, we made that mistake in front of the whole world,” she explained. “As a mom, you’re kind of like learning at the same time.”

She also expressed admiration for her daughter’s self-assuredness and creativity, saying: “She’s really mature in one sense where she’ll be like, ‘Mom, I saw this and I don’t really care that they don’t like… my blue hair or this or that.”

“She’s really confident.”

As a fellow parent, I can attest to the challenges of raising children, especially when it’s under public scrutiny, which is often part of the Kardashian family’s reality.
