Kim Kardashian has shared details about her current dynamic with her ex-husband, Kanye West.
The two celebrities, who began their relationship in 2012 after Kim’s divorce from Kris Humphries, quickly became one of the most talked-about couples in Hollywood.
They welcomed their daughter, North West, and tied the knot in a spectacular ceremony in 2014. The couple later had three more children: sons Saint and Psalm, and a second daughter, Chicago.
In 2021, Kim filed for divorce from Kanye after seven years of marriage, with the divorce being finalized in 2022.
Despite their split, Kim and Kanye have been jointly parenting their four children. Recently, Kim showed support for Kanye’s Yeezy brand during a trip to Aspen, a topic she discussed with Complex.
In a TikTok video, Kim stated: “I put it with these Yeezy boots. I will say, there’s nothing like a Yeezy heel. I don’t know if they ever made these, or just made them for me. I love when a shoe is tonal to the pant.”
When questioned about her support for Yeezy, she said: “We’ll always be family. We both know that. We will be okay, and there’s so much love for our family.
“We want what’s best for our kids. I couldn’t deny the Yeezy heel, so I had to shout it out.”
Complex also noted that Kim and Kanye reconciled over Christmas for the benefit of their children.
During an appearance on her sister Khloé’s podcast, Khloé in Wonderland, Kim remarked that their relationship was improving.
Following a comment from Khloé that Kim and Kanye were in a ‘much better place’, Kim said: “I’m a really empathetic person. I mean, at the end of the day, we’re always family. I always look at it that way, no matter what’s going on.
“There are times when I have to be super protective, and there are times when, you know…at any moment, I would love that relationship. And I’ve always talked about that.
“But even just like coming up with stuff, we have to communicate about how North moves through that world and all these opportunities that come her way and having to filter that and like respecting his opinion on the things that go on with his kids is really important.
“So yeah, I think he’s so good at doing that. I think it’s important for the kids. You just kind of have to put all the other stuff aside.”
Previously, on an episode of The Kardashians, Kim discussed the challenges she faced in her relationship with Kanye, revealing she felt ‘pretty tested’.
“I haven’t had psoriasis since I got divorced, and it just started coming back,” she said. “I mean, I have psoriasis again. I felt more stressed, probably just because I had to super, super protect what I had to protect.”
