Kim Kardashian recently shared insights into the challenging aspects of her relationship with ex-husband Kanye West during the latest season of her reality show.
In a preview from the upcoming seventh season of The Kardashians, Kim opened up about the stress she experienced while with Kanye ‘Ye’ West. She described how her relationship with him, with whom she has four children, was particularly taxing.
During filming breaks for her new show, All’s Fair, Kim disclosed that her psoriasis, which had cleared up after her divorce, had unfortunately returned, a condition she attributes to stress.
She remarked: “I haven’t had psoriasis since I got divorced, and it just started coming back.”
Kim explained how she has felt ‘pretty tested’ by Kanye recently.
She further elaborated: “I mean, I have psoriasis again. I felt more stressed, probably just because I had to super, super protect what I had to protect.”
Kim expressed her worries over Kanye’s public behavior and its impact on their children.
She stated: “My poor kids. Everyone around can handle it, but like, protect my babies.”
“They’re gonna know things. They’re gonna grow up, they’re gonna see. So my job as a mom is to just make sure that — at a time when that behavior is happening — is just to make sure that they’re protected.”
Kim mentioned that one of her children, North, 12, Saint, nine, Chicago, seven, or Psalm, six, had recently become aware of their father’s actions and was troubled by it.
Reflecting on her decision to divorce, Kim mentioned feeling as though she experienced a type of Stockholm syndrome with the ‘Stronger’ rapper.
She explained: “I always felt really bad and always protected and always wanted to help [him].”
Continuing, she said: “I felt ‘I should’ve stuck it out’ or ‘I could’ve helped’ but this was the first time I didn’t feel that responsibility personally.”
She described the current state of their relationship as ‘so f**king sad.’
Since their divorce in 2022, Kanye has publicly criticized Kim, expressing concerns about their children’s upbringing.
In an E! News report, Kanye voiced his grievances in an interview with DJ Akademics, saying: “This white woman and this white family have the control of these highly influential Black kids that are half the kids of Ye…”
“And that’s just in everybody’s face. They play in my face like that.”
