Kim Kardashian Made Drastic Decision to Sell Her Home and Buy the One Next Door After Taking a Weed Gummy

Kim Kardashian bought a vacant mansion next door to Kylie Jenner’s Palm Springs compound after getting high on weed gummies with her mom and a group of comedian friends.

The 46-year-old reality star and businesswoman made the impulse purchase during a trip to the desert for season 8, episode 5 of Hulu’s The Kardashians, which streamed last week. Kardashian traveled to Kris Jenner’s Palm Springs home with sister Khloé Kardashian, comedian Nikki Glaser, actress Brenda Song and stand-up comic Fortune Feimster, and she brought a bedazzled box of cannabis edibles for the group.

Kris Jenner, 69, has built something of a reputation for her own gummy-fueled adventures on the show. “I’ve had one maybe once or twice, and I could not stop laughing,” the family matriarch said in a confessional interview for the episode. “So, guess what, I’m up for a good time.”

Khloé Kardashian had predicted chaos before the trip even began. “I’m so excited because when Kris Jenner and gummies get involved, it is a recipe for success,” she said in her own confessional.

The group’s first stop after dosing was dinner, where Kris felt the full effects of the edible. She ordered a massive meal and dissolved into uncontrollable giggles that eventually turned to tears, according to the episode.

The real estate scheme took shape the next day. While touring Kylie Jenner’s garden, Kim pointed out the interconnecting backyard paths she had already built between the neighboring properties. “We made these,” she explained to the group. “So, we can all get to each other the back way instead of going the front way.”

That was when Kardashian spotted the for-sale sign on the empty lot sandwiched between Kylie’s home and Kris’s estate. She immediately envisioned connecting all three compounds into one extended family compound. “Can you imagine?” she asked the group. “It just continued our little backyard connections? That would be so much fun.”

The women piled into golf carts and drove onto the vacant property for an unauthorized tour. “I mean, it’s definitely trespassing,” Kim admitted in a confessional. “Don’t try this at home, guys.”

Feimster quickly became an enthusiastic enabler. “I don’t know anything about how much it is, but you should buy it,” the comedian told Kardashian as they explored the backyard.

Most buyers would need weeks of due diligence, but Kardashian moved within hours. She spoke directly with a realtor and outlined her financing strategy on camera: “He offered me the same price, so if I just sell one for half, then I’m close to Kylie, and this view is so much better.”

Khloé Kardashian confirmed the deal closed. “She bought it. She actually bought it, so all of this works out for the best,” she said on the show.

The episode marks another instance of Kardashian making major life decisions with unusual speed. The Palm Springs purchase extends her existing real estate portfolio in the area, where she had already invested in creating private pathways between family properties.

Kris Jenner’s own history with cannabis gummies has become a recurring storyline across multiple seasons of The Kardashians. The episode referenced her past experiences, including previous on-camera moments where edibles led to emotional or uninhibited behavior.

Kardashian’s Netflix project The Fifth Wheel, which she was promoting with Glaser, Song and Feimster during the trip, does not yet have a confirmed premiere date.
