Kim Kardashian has provided an important health update after revealing she had been diagnosed with a brain aneurysm.
The 45-year-old shared the news in the latest season of The Kardashians, which premiered last week.
In the season’s first episode, Kim was seen discussing with her older sister, Kourtney, 46, about a recent hospital visit where doctors identified a ‘little’ aneurysm in her brain.
According to the Mayo Clinic, a brain aneurysm is a bulge or ballooning in a blood vessel within the brain. Experts suggest it develops as blood flowing through the vessel exerts pressure on a weak spot in the vessel wall.
While brain aneurysms are common and often not serious, particularly if they are small, they can become life-threatening if they rupture.

On the show, Kim was later seen undergoing an MRI scan. At one point, she mentioned that doctors had suggested the aneurysm might have been brought on by stress.
Kim provided an update on her diagnosis during an appearance on Good Morning America on Tuesday (October 28).
Speaking to host Robin Roberts, she said: “You’ll see in the next episode, I did go and get a Prenuvo scan. And I had to end up going and getting tons of other brain scans at Cedars[-Sinai] with all the team.
“Just tune in next week, but everything works out.
“It’s just a good measure to go; make sure that you always check everything.
“And health is wealth, and you just have to be careful with everything that you do.”
It’s not clear if Kim underwent any treatment for the aneurysm.

In the new season of The Kardashians, Kim also addressed her relationship with ex-husband Kanye West, 48.
The couple shares four children: daughter North, 12, son Saint, nine, daughter Chicago, seven, and son Psalm, six.
“My ex will be in my life no matter what. We have four kids together,” she stated.

While on Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast in October, Kim also discussed some challenges faced with Kanye.
“People can say that there was, like, signs and maybe I wasn’t paying attention to them,” she reflected.
“And I think when someone has, like, their first, like, mental break, you know, you wanna be super supportive and you wanna, like, help figure that out and you wanna really get into that with them and be there for them.
“When you have kids, it’s definitely harder to leave than it is to stay. And it changes everyone’s life forever.”
