Kim Kardashian has shed light on why Prince Harry and Meghan Markle requested the removal of a photograph from Kris Jenner’s 70th birthday celebration.
Last November, Kris Jenner, the matriarch of the Kardashian-Jenner family, marked her 70th birthday with a lavish party. This grand event took place at Jeff Bezos’ mansion in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles.
The party’s theme was James Bond, and the guest list was brimming with high-profile celebrities. In addition to Bezos and his partner Lauren Sanchez, other attendees included Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Mariah Carey, Adele, Paris Hilton, and many more.
Among the guests were Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. However, when photos from the event started circulating online, a particular image of the Sussexes was swiftly taken down upon request.
Once the public noticed the removal of the photograph, speculation and rumors began to spread across social media platforms.
During an appearance on her sister Khloe’s podcast, In Wonder Land, released on January 28, Kim Kardashian addressed the real reason behind the photo’s removal.

According to reports, guests were asked to consent to their photos being taken and shared online prior to the event.
Kim explained on the podcast that while the Sussexes had initially given their consent, they later encountered an issue and requested the images be removed.
One user on X commented: “You’ve hit a new low when a Kardashian doesn’t want to be associated with you.”
Another said, “Harry and Meghan probably crashed the party.”
A third user speculated: “Probably because of all the hateful comments dropped by middle-aged white British women.”
Contrary to these social media speculations, Kim clarified that the photo was removed because the Sussexes realized it coincided with Remembrance Day.

Kim stated: “They didn’t want to be seen at a party, even though it’s already up, you know, and then taken down.”
She added that the couple later realized their concern was somewhat overstated, considering the online theories that emerged.
Kim emphasized during the podcast: “It was really innocent, which is so crazy. Mom and Meghan have been friends for some years now, and they have a really sweet relationship.”
The Sussexes were photographed earlier the same evening at a charity gala, sporting poppies on their attire, a nod to Remembrance Day. Kim noted this was a far cry from “partying and dancing on the dance floor or whatever.”
Ultimately, the Kardashians were willing to honor the Sussexes’ request to respect Remembrance Day, painting a far less dramatic picture than social media initially portrayed.
