Kim Kardashian has long been open about taking a proactive approach to her health. Alongside other members of her family, she’s previously spoken about regularly getting full-body DEXA scans and trying a variety of wellness routines and products.
But while many people might consider a daily multivitamin a solid health habit, Kardashian says her own regimen is far more intense: she takes dozens of supplements every single day to maintain her wellbeing.
Even for the SKIMS founder, however, the routine can become overwhelming. She recently admitted that keeping up with so many pills has started to wear her down, leading to what she described as “pill fatigue.”
Discussing women’s health on Amy Poehler’s Good Hang podcast, the pair spoke about topics that often become more pressing after 40, including bone density changes and vitamin levels. Poehler noted how little these issues were discussed in previous generations.
“something that our moms did not know about or talk about at all.”
Kardashian then shared just how extensive her supplement schedule has become.
“I take probably 35 supplements a day. I spread them out three times a day and I thought, ‘Okay, I can’t do this fish oil anymore. I have like pill fatigue. I have to stop these fish oil [supplements].’ And I got my bloodwork and it was so evident that I stopped and I had to start again.”

Fish oil is commonly used to support heart and brain function, help manage inflammation, and benefit skin, eyes, and joints—largely due to its Omega-3 fatty acids.
Still, Poehler sympathised with the downside many people complain about: the lingering taste after taking it.
“You taste it for a long time.”
Kardashian agreed, adding that the size of the capsules can be a challenge in itself.
“The pills are just so big!” Kardashian said. “I wish there was like an IV drip I could do every day and I would just do it on my way to work.”
Elsewhere in the conversation, Kardashian also described the annual full-body scans she and her family book as part of their preventative health routine—something she says helps identify potential concerns early.
“I actually know a portable DEXA scan person that comes in a van and you lay down,” Kardashian said.
She said that because her family lives close by, they sometimes make a group effort of it.
“Each one of my sisters and my mom — we all live in the same gated community — so we have the van drive by and we all jump in the van and you just lay down and it scans your body maybe like three minutes, and it tells you all about your bone density.”
DEXA scans (Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometry) use low-dose X-rays to measure bone mineral density. They’re most commonly used to diagnose osteoporosis, estimate fracture risk, and track bone health over time. They can also provide insights into body composition, including proportions of bone, muscle, and fat.
Kardashian has also spoken about using different types of preventative imaging. In a previous experience with a Prenuvo scan—a form of full-body MRI—she said the results flagged an unexpected issue.
“I did a Prenuvo scan, and they called me today, and they’re like, ‘Everything looks great. But you have an aneurysm in your brain,'” Kardashian recalled. “They’re like, ‘It’s been there for like years. It was here a few years ago.’”
According to Kardashian, surgery wasn’t necessary, but ongoing monitoring and follow-up appointments with specialists at Cedars Sinai were required—an experience she says strengthened her belief in early detection.
“It’s just a good measure to go make sure that you always check everything,” Kardashian added. “And health is wealth. You just have to be careful with everything that you do.”
