Kim Kardashian’s ‘the System’ Podcast Beats Joe Rogan’s and Meghan Markle’s Shows

The System: The Case Of Kevin Keith, Kim Kardashian’s latest true-crime podcast surpassed famous programs The Joe Rogan Experience and Meghan Markle’s Archetypes to win the top place on Spotify’s US podcast ranking on Tuesday.

The System is an eight-part audio series about Kevin Keith. He is serving life in prison for a triple homicide in 1994 even though “no physical evidence tying him to the crime,” according to the podcast’s description.

The Spotify-exclusive series launched its third episode on Monday, in which Kardashian interviewed Keith’s brother, which appears to have contributed to its high rating on Tuesday.

The podcast is narrated by Kardashian and produced by Lori Rothschild Ansaldi. It contains interviews with specialists on the case, examinations of evidence, and police interviews from the time of the killings.

Following the series’ introduction earlier this month, the podcast’s second episode also rated one on Spotify.

Last year, Rogan’s controversial podcast, also exclusive to Spotify, was the most popular series on the platform.

Since its exclusive release on Spotify in August, Markle’s Archetypes has routinely landed in the top ranks on the platform’s chart, dethroning Joe Rogan at least thrice.

It was successful in drawing attention to a potentially unjust prison term. Adnan Syed was freed from prison last month and his sentence was annulled after spending two decades in prison for the murder of Hae Min Lee. The allegations against him were dropped by prosecutors on Tuesday.
