When an 8-year old boy saw a woman struggling to go up a flight of stairs, he quickly rushed in to help.
Maurice Adams Jr. was with his mom when he saw an older woman struggling with her walker.
The elderly lady was trying to get up the stairs, so he ran up to her, put an arm around her while picking up the walker.
As they reached the top of the stairs, both of them celebrated with a big hug.
Maurice then said his goodbyes to the lady then ran back down to his mom’s car. But what he didn’t know was that a stranger was filming the act of kindness.

Riley Duncan was in the area when he saw what Maurice did and was touched by the heartwarming act of kindness. He took a video and shared it on Facebook with the caption “Thank God for our youth”, and it quickly went viral.
A number of Facebook users commented on the post saying how pleased they were to see a young man still having the heart to help the elderly.
After the video was shared numerous times, someone helped Riley connect with Maurice’s mom, Contrica Hill, on Facebook. The two then chatted about her son and Riley made plans to meet with Contrica and Maurice on Wednesday.
Riley also mentioned that he wanted to reward the 8-year-old with $100 for doing the selfless act.
