Blindfolded Strangers Smooch In Social Experiment Exploring Love At First Kiss

In a unique social experiment, Canadian cinematographer Jordan Oram blindfolded eight strangers and instructed them to kiss each other after only a short introduction.

His aim was to see whether people could fall in love after just kissing — before being introduced and spending time with a person.

After some obligatory awkward small talk…

…things got a bit friendlier…

And then participants got down to business. While sparks really fly for this couple, other encounters were more awkward.

While similar experiments have been attempted before Oram explains that, “there had been nothing that really showed the reason why people were kissing… The reason behind the kiss.”

“What if you meet the person you fell in love with from the first kiss? What if it was like your first kiss? What if you met someone, you kissed them, and then you introduced yourself? And then you built chemistry from that.”
