Kourtney Kardashian recently referred to her siblings, Rob and Khloé, as having a ‘a little incestual’ relationship while discussing the unique dynamics each Kardashian sister has with their brother, who is known for being reclusive.
The ongoing Hulu series, The Kardashians, regularly features sisters Kim, Kourtney, and Khloé, along with their half-sisters Kylie and Kendall, as they share insights into their personal lives.
While mom Kris Jenner frequently appears on the reality show, her son Rob is a rare sight, with one of his few appearances occurring in the latest episode released on October 30.
Earlier this year, Rob opened up to Khloé on her podcast, Khloé in Wonder Land, about his reasons for shunning the limelight.
Rob shared: “I don’t wanna be filming and putting myself in a position where I’m not comfortable. I’m not comfortable in my skin, so why would I want to go be on camera and just be vulnerable and let people in when that’s not what I want to do?”
Despite his absence, Rob reassured Khloé that his relationship with his siblings is solid, stating, “It just has everything to do with myself.”
Kourtney further elaborated on their family dynamics, emphasizing that her brother’s relationship varies with each sibling.
In a confessional during the show, she remarked: “Him and Khloé are a little incestual. Him and Kim are like the husband and wife that hate each other.”
As for her relationship with Rob, Kourtney likened it to being ‘super close friends’.
“At one point, we would go out together, hold hands, just have so much fun together,” Kourtney reflected. “I love having him around.”
Although Rob prefers to stay out of the public eye, he is open to participating when the circumstances feel right for him.
“I love filming if it’s positive and natural and I’m feeling good about myself,” he has explained. “I like being around my family so that stuff is good to me.”
Khloé herself has praised Rob, calling him ‘the best dad’ she knows in a 2023 episode of The Kardashians, and expressing pride in how he feels about himself.
Rob, the youngest child of Kris and Robert Kardashian at 38, is followed by Khloé, aged 41, Kim at 45, and Kourtney at 46.
