Twilight‘s Kristen Stewart, now married to her long-time partner Dylan Meyer since April, has shared the quality she finds most appealing in a partner.
Many of us were introduced to Stewart’s love story through her character’s dilemma between Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), a mysterious vampire, and Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner), a werewolf offering a more familiar life.
Fast forward nearly two decades, and Stewart has moved on from those fictional choices, capturing the hearts of a generation of fans torn between supernatural suitors.
The 35-year-old actress now shares her life with her spouse, screenwriter Dylan Meyer, whom she wed earlier this year in April.
Eight months into marriage, the star of films such as Spencer and Adventureland disclosed that what she finds most attractive is a sense of ‘hunger’.
In an interview with Esquire, Stewart offered a rare insight into her intense relationship with Meyer. When asked about the most attractive trait in a partner, she responded: “Hunger. And I mean that in every way. When someone wants a lot. Openly. It also means being nice, because you just get more with real honey.”
Stewart also emphasized the importance of having ‘power in numbers’ in a relationship.
“It’s so nice to not be an unmoored individual,” Stewart explained. “Dylan came into my life and I immediately was like, ‘It’s so important to handpick and curate the people that surround you.’ Dylan just does not suffer fools. I may not always seem like it, but I really am kind of a ‘nice guy’.”
She further noted: “It’s just bolstering to be with someone that reminds you that your life is in your hands.”
During the conversation, Stewart also mentioned that she loves sharing her book passion with those she cares about.
“A big thing that makes me happy is reading out loud with my wife and pets. East of Eden, Wuthering Heights, Jane Eyre, The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter. To share them outside of yourself is salve,” she shared with the magazine.
As for dislikes, Stewart remarked on a common grievance.
“Mean people suck,” she commented. “I can smell it. So gross.”
Since her breakout role in Twilight in 2008, Stewart has been in several notable relationships, including those with co-stars like Pattinson, visual effects producer Alicia Cargile, and musician St. Vincent.
Identifying as bisexual, Stewart has been in a relationship with Meyer since 2019. The couple held an intimate wedding ceremony at her Los Angeles home on April 20, 2025.
