Kristi Noem, the Secretary of Homeland Security, has responded following a recent episode of South Park that mocked her.
Known for not shying away from satirizing U.S. politics, the creators of the popular comedy series recently featured Donald Trump in a scene with Satan.
In its new episode, the show spotlighted several key figures from the Trump administration.
Within the South Park episode, Trump was shown at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida alongside Vice President JD Vance and the devil.
Mr. Mackey, dismissed from his teaching role, finds a new direction by joining Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Supported by Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, Mackey is transported to Trump’s Florida estate, where he encounters both the President and Vice President.
During Wednesday night’s episode, the creators of South Park targeted Noem’s appearance, particularly focusing on her Botox wearing off.
Noem’s animated character was also depicted shooting dogs for an ICE training video.
After the episode titled ‘Go a Nut’ aired this week, Noem acknowledged she hasn’t watched it but addressed the South Park creators.
While speaking on the Glenn Beck podcast, Noem criticized the episode as ‘petty’ and ‘lazy’, saying: “I didn’t get to see it. I was going over budget numbers and stuff. But you know, I just think it’s…um…yeah, it never ends.
“But it’s so lazy to just constantly make fun of women for how they look. Only the liberals and the extremists do that.”
She further commented: “If they wanted to criticize my job, go ahead and do that, but clearly they can’t, they just pick something petty like that.”
Even with the controversial humor, the latest South Park season has enjoyed significant success, much to the chagrin of the White House.
The premiere of season 27 drew 5.9 million viewers across Paramount+ and Comedy Central, with Nielsen data indicating a 68 percent increase in viewership compared to season 26.
The Trump administration is not pleased, however. White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers remarked: “The Left’s hypocrisy truly has no end and for years they have come after South Park for what they labeled as ‘offense’ [sic] content, but suddenly they are praising the show.”
Rogers further stated: “President Trump has delivered on more promises in just six months than any other president in our country’s history — and no fourth-rate show can derail President Trump’s hot streak.”
