Todd Chrisley’s son, Kyle, has been taken into custody just a few months after his father and stepmother, Julie Chrisley, were granted clemency and released from jail.
Kyle, aged 34, was detained in Tennessee on December 20 at approximately 7:00 PM, as reported by TMZ.
The publication stated that Kyle, who is the eldest son of Todd Chrisley, 56, from his first marriage to Teresa Terry, was booked into the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center that night.
The charges against him include domestic assault, public intoxication, disorderly conduct, assaulting a first responder, resisting arrest, and retaliation for past actions, according to the report.
Details surrounding the arrest of the Chrisley Knows Best star have not been fully disclosed. Efforts have been made to reach out to the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office for further comments.
In a previous incident in August, Kyle and his spouse, Ashleigh Nelson, filed a lawsuit against two sheriff’s deputies and Rutherford County following an aggravated assault arrest.

It has been reported that in September 2024, Kyle was apprehended after a mechanic, upset over a payment issue, appeared at their home without being invited.
Despite the mechanic purportedly threatening violence, officers from the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office did not detain the individual responsible for the disturbance.
“Instead, they arrested Kyle Chrisley, and ignored clear evidence that he was the victim, not the aggressor,” noted the lawsuit, according to PEOPLE.
Attorneys representing the couple, who married in 2021, have sought accountability and change, highlighting that “no family should have to endure what the Chrisley family endured in this terrifying scenario.”
The legal team has requested a jury trial, attorney fees, and $1.7 million in damages, citing the humiliation, mental suffering, and emotional distress Kyle allegedly experienced.
Earlier in March 2023, Kyle was also arrested for a suspected felony aggravated assault.

Kyle’s latest legal troubles follow the early release of his father Todd and stepmother Julie from prison.
The stars of Chrisley Knows Best faced prison time in 2022 for charges including bank and wire fraud, tax evasion, and conspiracy.
Todd was initially sentenced to 12 years in prison, while Julie faced a seven-year term.
After beginning their sentences in January 2023, the couple was released in May 2025 following a grant of executive clemency by former US President Donald Trump.

Since their release, the couple has launched Chrisley Confessions 2.0, a follow-up to their previous podcast, and are preparing to film a new cooking show, as mentioned by PEOPLE. Filming is expected to commence in February 2026.
Todd and Julie’s children include Chase, 29, Savannah, 28, and their youngest, Grayson, 19. Todd also shares his eldest, Kyle, with his first wife, Teresa, and has another child, Lindsie Chrisley, aged 36.
