Lana Del Rey has clarified that there is no online dispute between her and fellow artist Lizzo, putting an end to all the circulating rumors.
Recently, fans were taken by surprise when rumors began swirling about a possible online clash between the two singers.
The speculation stemmed from a screenshot that surfaced on X, suggesting a virtual exchange between the artists. The image displayed a supposed comment from Lizzo, 36, stating: “I would love to see you back on the charts.”
Lana, 39, was alleged to have retorted: “I would love to see you run a treadmill.”
However, it turns out that all these claims are unfounded.
The TikTok interactions were entirely made up. They were ultimately shared by a parody pop culture account on X, leading many music enthusiasts to mistakenly believe them.
The ‘Blue Jeans’ artist addressed the fictitious comments by stating she never made any disparaging remarks about Lizzo on social media. She clarified with three comments from her Instagram account, starting with: “I don’t have an official TikTok, other than the grants one sooooo.”
She further clarified: “Or a Twitter.”
She wrapped up by noting that the entire situation was ‘very random’.
Supporters of both artists were relieved to learn that there wasn’t any animosity between them. “People actually believed that was real,” an astonished X user noted.
Another fan exclaimed: “Y’all need to stop setting up my QUEEN!”
A third added: “Fake. I knew it.”
The post with the fake dialogue between Lana and Lizzo garnered approximately 20 million views, 380,000 likes, and 22,000 shares before it was removed after being circulated on Wednesday.
In October, Lizzo showcased her recent weight loss journey. She has been keeping her followers in the loop about her progress, recently posting a video in a black workout bra and sweatpants, smiling for the camera.
She captioned her Instagram video clip with: “Is it fall yet???? #lizzoxyitty.”
This post comes as Lizzo has addressed rumors that her weight loss was due to taking Ozempic.
The pop star recently posted a reel on Instagram, concluding it with the line: “When you finally get Ozempic allegations after 5 months of weight training and calorie deficit.”
She also shared a screenshot of a comment from a social media user accusing her of using Ozempic.
Talking to The New York Times in March, Lizzo clearly stated that her weight loss was not achieved through shortcuts, saying: “I’ve been methodical, losing weight very slowly.”
In another conversation, she remarked: “I don’t really see it because if anyone who’s on a natural weight-loss journey knows, losing weight is actually the slowest thing in the world and you don’t really notice it until you notice it.”
