Despite the enormous difficulties premature babies face, Quebec-based photographer Red Methot shows that they are little fighters.
In his Les Premas photo series, children and adults of various ages pose with photos of themselves as premature babies. The contrast between the tubes and lines poking into and out of the babies in the hospital ICUs and their healthy, happy, older selves is stark. It’s a testament to medical advances and the strong human instinct to survive.
