Lil Tay, a social media influencer, has recently addressed the controversy surrounding her OnlyFans career, asserting that her earnings surpass what many people will ever experience in their lifetime.
After turning 18, Tay Tian, known publicly as Lil Tay, announced her decision to share exclusive content on OnlyFans. On the launch day of her account, August 3, she shared that she had accumulated over $1 million within just three hours.
“We broke the f**k out of that OnlyFans record,” she remarked after the impressive feat.
Her account has witnessed tremendous growth since then. By August 13, Lil Tay disclosed that her earnings had skyrocketed to $15 million, a mere two weeks after her debut post.
Despite her success, some critics have voiced their disapproval of her latest business move. One individual expressed their concern on social media, suggesting that OnlyFans should be banned due to Lil Tay’s rapid financial success shortly after her 18th birthday.
Another critic harshly stated, “Everyone involved in this should be put behind bars,” while a third person simply commented, “This generation is cooked.” Concerns about her being exploited since a young age were also raised.
In response to these criticisms, Lil Tay shared her perspective in an interview with Page Six. She conveyed that her intention is to inspire those with regular jobs to pursue greater financial success. She further emphasized her autonomy and the importance of women having the freedom to make choices about their own bodies.
“I get to make more money than most people ever f*****g touch in their life,” she explained. “Second of all, like, I want to do what I want to do with myself and my body. Every woman should be empowered and every woman should do whatever the hell they want to do.”
Having first gained attention at nine years old, Lil Tay believes money indeed brings happiness. She cited her challenging financial background as a driving force behind her desire to accumulate wealth.
In the same interview, Lil Tay opened up about the dark side of fame, recounting a recent incident where an intruder attempted to photograph her at home. This unsettling event has prompted her to hire security and take up boxing lessons for self-defense.
Regarding concerns about the control of her OnlyFans earnings, Lil Tay clarified, “I’m in control. I could do whatever I want with my money,” indicating her financial independence by mentioning her interest in purchasing a Bugatti.
In 2023, Lil Tay was embroiled in a strange death hoax at the age of 16. Her Instagram account was reportedly hacked, leading to the dissemination of a false announcement about her and her brother’s death.
The fraudulent message read: “It is with a heavy heart that we share the devastating news of our beloved Claire’s sudden and tragic passing.”
TMZ later confirmed that the ‘Sucker 4 Green’ artist was alive and safe, revealing that the misinformation was a result of her Instagram being hacked.
Lil Tay described the ordeal as “very traumatizing,” recounting how she was overwhelmed with sorrowful and distressing calls from loved ones while trying to rectify the situation. She clarified that her account was compromised, spreading falsehoods, even getting her name wrong.
