Though some people are a bit skeptical about photographers being able to capture star trails in Singapore because the city is so heavily polluted with artificial light, Ng defies the limitations by digitally enhancing his images. He admits, “In order to create high quality night sky images, almost all of the images need to go through Photoshop.” Using a little Photoshop to compose multiple long exposure shots together doesn’t bother Ng, who prefers to refer to himself as an artist instead of a photojournalist.
