You Can Now Stay At A Lord Of The Rings-Inspired “Hobbit Treehouse”

You don’t have to go to Middle Earth to experience Shire life. Because deep in the Black Hills of South Dakota you’ll find a Hobbit treehouse where you can stay the night.

The rental property fit for any wanabe-hobbit is owned by Gordon Mack, a huge Lord of the Rings fan.

High up 16 feet in the trees, the little house has rounded doors and windows. Step inside and you’ll be greeted with a living room that’ll make Tolkien himself weak at the knees.

Details include Elvish-language signs, a mask worn by Sauron, and a gauntlet with the gold ring.

There are even Hobbit slippers to help keep those tootsies warm.

To enjoy a stay at this whimsical treehouse, you must book the country house that it’s attached to — the Chateau De Soleil.

The four-bedroom building can accommodate up to 16 people, making it ideal for large family get-togethers and reunions.
