Love Island USA Star Kayda Removed From Women’s Charity After ‘Concerning’ Reunion Comments

Step Up Women’s Network has cut ties with Love Island USA star Kayda Bosse after her remarks on the show’s reunion special drew heavy backlash.

The Los Angeles-based charity, which mentors girls and young women, had unveiled Bosse as one of its celebrity ambassadors in an Instagram carousel posted just days before the reunion aired. Fans noticed her image had vanished from that showcase shortly after the episode dropped, and the non-profit soon confirmed the split.

“We understand that the recent Love Island reunion brought to light moments and conversations that have understandably caused hurt and concern within our community,” Step Up wrote on Instagram.

“While this post was created before the reunion aired, we understand that the context has changed.”

The organization stressed it remains “committed to creating a community where women and girls feel seen, heard, and supported,” It added: “We see your comments, hear your concerns, and are taking them to heart to ensure that we can stay true to our mission – creating spaces where women feel seen, heard, and empowered.”

Step Up also “thanked” the women who had reached out to “share their perspective,” and finished: “We are listening and will continue striving to create and maintain spaces where every woman and girl feels respected, valued, and empowered.”

The charity’s website describes its work as offering “structured support and access to a strong community” to help “guide girls towards their unique goals: first, by identifying those goals and then, building the roadmap to get there.”

Bosse, who has reportedly shed more than 100,000 followers since the reunion, has not issued any public statement following her removal.

The confrontation that triggered the fallout came during the heated reunion episode, when Bosse directed pointed comments at fellow islander Jaiden regarding Jaiden’s past involvement with Caleb. Bosse fired back during their onstage exchange: “I just want to say that hooking up is a two person thing. If he was treating you like that then why did you [expletive] him again?”

She pressed further: “Hooking up is a two-way thing so it’s like – you’re coming at him but you did it too, so…”

Jaiden pushed back immediately, branding the question “crazy” and retorting: “Well obviously I did it too, I don’t think that’s the point.”

Viewers flooded social media to slam Bosse’s conduct. One fan wrote: “What happened to Kayda?” Another added: “That comment was completely unnecessary & quite cruel actually.” A third chimed in: “She gave off incredibly mean vibes at the reunion.”

Bosse’s silence since losing the charity post stands in contrast to the swift corporate response, which moved to distance the mentorship brand from the reality star’s growing controversy.
