Love on the Spectrum’s Abbey Romeo shares tips on finding love following split from David after 5 years

Love on the Spectrum’s Abbey Romeo has shared advice on finding love after her split from David following their five year relationship.

Fans were saddened when Abbey Romeo and David Isaacman confirmed they had ended their relationship last month (April 9), five years after first meeting on the popular Netflix series and appearing throughout all four seasons.

Now, the 28-year-old has spoken about “finding and falling in love” just weeks after the break-up, which has been linked to the pair struggling to agree on the right time to get married.

Reports suggest Abbey had been ready to move toward marriage for some time, while David remained uncertain about making that long-term step.

Even so, Abbey has been focusing on positivity. While attending the American Music Awards (AMAs) yesterday (May 25), she offered heartfelt advice to people who feel isolated.

“Those who feel lonely and left out have got to find somebody who understands the way their mind works,” she said, speaking to The Mirror US.

This isn’t the first time she has spoken publicly about the split.

Appearing on Tea Time with Raven & Miranda, Abbey explained: “David and I decided to call each other best friends, not boyfriend and girlfriend anymore.

“He was a good start… and at least he wasn’t cheating and lying like my brother’s ex!”

While on the AMAs red carpet, she also reflected on standout moments from her time on the Netflix show, saying: “It was awesome. As a matter of fact, in season two, I go to Africa on an African safari in the Masai Mara.”

Abbey shared that getting to watch “all the lionesses and their cubs” remains one of her favorite memories.

Although she attended the AMAs as a guest, Abbey has also pursued music, releasing songs during her time on the series—including her track ‘Boyfriend Forever,’ which later surged in popularity online.

Talking about the awards night, she added: “I hope that Lady Gaga wins an award; if she does, I’m going to be so excited.

“I used to sing her song Bad Romance a lot when I was in middle school.”

Gaga, who was up for six awards, did not attend the ceremony. Taylor Swift was also absent due to personal obligations and wedding planning, with the event rumored to be set for July 3.
